Turkmen minister reprimanded

Turkmen Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Minister Bayar Abayev was severely reprimanded "for poor fulfillment of official duties, and allowing weakening discipline and order in subordinate institutions and enterprises," an official Turkmen source said.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding order.
The ministry is a public management body, pursuing state policy in the spheres of trade, foreign economic relations and consumer cooperation.
The ministry is tasked with saturating the market with goods, products and services, improving the organization of trade services and catering, as well as wholesale, retail and cooperative trade, procuring goods, products and raw materials for industrial purposes, and ensuring the observance of state interests on international markets.
The main activity of its subordinate enterprises is to carry out trade activities and produce agricultural and cattle production. Its enterprises and organizations make efforts to develop and improve these sectors.
