The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is planning to start three new projects in Azerbaijan in September.
"Today, it is expected to receive approval for funding of projects by the SECO Secretary General," SECO said.
SECO plans to allocate a technical assistance worth 700,000 to the Azerpoct public postal operator and State Securities Committee (SSC) to protect the rights of consumers of financial services and financial education in the project implemented in cooperation with the Finance Ministry, Central Bank and the SSC.
As soon as the loans are approved, the State Secretariat and the World Bank will sign agreement on financial management and announce a tender.
Since the beginning of the Financial Services Development Project, SECO has allocated 500,000.
The project has been implemented by the government with the support of the WB since 2005.
