Georgia's GDP increases in second quarter

Georgia's GDP in the second quarter amounted to 5.848.1 billion lari in current prices, the Georgian Statistics Service said on Monday.

According to the report, in the second quarter, real GDP growth, compared to the same period of 2010, hit 4.7 percent, while deflator index - 10.7 percent.

In two quarters of 2011, real GDP growth, compared to the same period of 2010, hit 5.2 percent, while deflator - 11.9 percent.

GDP per capita amounted to 1.308.5 lari in the second quarter.

The greatest share in sectoral structure of GDP accounts for iindustry 16.5 percent), trade (15.9 percent), state administration (12.2 percent), transport and communications (11.3 percent), agriculture (9.8 percent) and health (6.3 percent).
