The Central Bank of Azerbaijan expects to maintain the current pace of the national currency, CBA offical Alim Guliyev told reporters on Thursday.
"The bank implements measures to maintain the stability of the manat. It is one of the instruments of monetary policy to prevent inflation," Guliyev said.
According to Guliev, the manat has strengthened against the U.S. dollar by 1.4 percent from the beginning of 2011.
