On Sunday, Dec. 18, the price for the U.S. dollar ranged from 13,980 to 14,005 rials on the free market in Iran. At the same time, the government's price for the dollar was set at 10,990 rials, creating a 3,000 rial difference, Mehr News reported.
The dollar's price had increased noticeably over the past few days and bordered around 13,850 rials. Now it has reached 14,000 rials.
Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Iran announced the dollar's price at 10,990 rials on Sunday.
