The international reserves at the National Bank of Georgia amounted to $2.839 billion as of Jan.31, 2012, the bank told Trend on Wednesday.
According to the bank, the figure is $21.1 million less than the figure as of Dec.31, 2011.
International reserves converted into foreign currency amounted to $2.610 billion, including those placed in securities ($1.570 billion) and in foreign bank accounts and the IMF ($1.039 billion). The amount of funds placed in the SDR amounted to $229.1 million.
Its international reserves increased by $554.6 million last year.
