Kazakh Kazkommertsbank redeems Eurobond issue at $55 mln

Kazakh Kazkommertsbank redeemed Eurobonds issued in February 2007 with an initial sum of placement at 350 million pounds ($55.24 million), the press-service of the bank said on Monday.

Full planned redemption of Eurobonds has been made by bank's own funds.

Kazkommertsbank is one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan and the Central Asia. The Bank has subsidiaries engaged in pension system, management of pension and financial assets, insurance and broker services.

The Bank also has subsidiaries in Russia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The Bank's major shareholders are JSC "Central Asian Investment Company", head of the Board of Directors Nurzhan Subkhanberdin, JSC "Alnair Capital Holding", "Samruk-Kazyna" fund for national welfare, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Bank's shares are listed on JSC "Kazakhstan Stock Exchange" (KASE). Global depository receipts, whose basic asset is the bank's shares (GDRs), are listed on the London Stock Exchange.
