Another 5 wagons with radioactive coal were sent from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan, KyrTag reports with reference to the Kyrgyz Emergency Situations Ministry on Thursday.

"Five wagons with coal totaling 347 tons were sent to Kazakhstan through the Lugovoe railway station," the report says.

As the ministry said, at present, another 10 wagons with radioactive coal weighing over 687 tons are expected to be sent to Kazakhstan.

A total of 35 wagons of coal have been sent to the neighbouring country.

It should be recalled that the excess of radioactive background was detected in a batch of coal supplied by the Kazakh company "Kulan TB" in the amount of more than 8,000 tons.
Also small parties of coal of the same origin were found, which were supplied to social enterprise Chui. A criminal case has been filed.

Later, the Kyrgyz party estimated the radiation background of the Kulan field at 8-10 times more than the norm. According to the bilateral agreements, all radioactive coal will be returned to the supplier.
