The presentation of a new Chevrolet Malibu car, whose production began in GM Uzbekistan, was held in Tashkent.
GM Uzbekistan began the production of the new model in February 2012.
The assemblage of a new model is implemented by the branch of GM Uzbekistan in Tashkent, established on the industrial base of Chkalov aviation plant in Tashkent. Production of the new model is implemented by large-hub assembly technology.
The government decision was taken to postpone the production of GM Uzbekistan cars in 2009, which assemblage were implemented by large-hub assembly in Asaka, to the production area based on TAPOiCH.
Assembly branch was created here. Assemblage of two models of Chevrolet: Captiva and Epica were implemented there until recently.
