The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development registered 29 grant agreements of 12 legal entities in 2011, the ministry said today.
The total amount of registered contracts on grants, allocated in various currencies, amounts to $2.62 million, 1.03 million manat and 14,640 euro.
These funds were spent for the translation in literary sphere, collecting data on linguistics and culture, preparation of dictionaries and workshops, development of small and medium enterprises, agricultural development and employment in this sector, employment by attracting displaced people and refugees the entrepreneurship, etc.
The official exchange rate is 0.7862 AZN/USD on April 6.
