Over 41.82 million tons of cargo were transported by vehicles in Azerbaijan in January-September 2012, which is 5.6 percent less than last year, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee said today.
Within this period the export of goods amounted to 22.602 million tons, import - to 6.767 million tons.
Around 210,420 tons of goods were transported by ships, 2.12 million tons by trains, 412,790 tons by vehicles and 297,510 tons by airplanes. Transportation by stationary vehicles amounted to 19.56 million tons.
Around 1.102 million tons of goods were transported by ships, 4.13 million tons by trains, 1.45 million tons by vehicles, 16,760 tons of goods by airplanes.
Around 12.453 million tons of goods were transited via Azerbaijan in January-September 2012.
