German companies consider orders from Azerbaijan for its products in the total amount of 900 million euros, minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Germany Cornelia Pieper said during a speech at the opening of the Azerbaijani-German Chamber of Commerce in Baku on Monday.

German companies consider orders from Azerbaijan for its products in the total amount of 900 million euros, minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Germany Cornelia Pieper said during a speech at the opening of the Azerbaijani-German Chamber of Commerce in Baku on Monday.

"We see great potential for growth in trade between the two countries. Chamber is designed to act as a catalyst in this process," Pieper said.

According to her, the establishment of the Chamber is in response to the positive dynamics of the development of economic ties between the two countries.

"This chamber was the second in the CIS after the German-Russian Chamber" - Pieper said.

According to the chairman of the Chamber Samir Akhundov, structure comprises 135 members.

"Creating a new chamber will be a reference point in cooperation between the two countries," - Akhundov said.
