In Jan.-Sept., Azerbaijan imported 57,520 cars, or 29.6 percent more than in Jan.-Sept. 2011, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Saturday.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of passenger cars imported in Jan.-Sept. hit over 553 million, which is 23.5 percent more than in Jan.-Sept. 2011.
In Jan.-Sept., Azerbaijan imported 7,187 trucks, which is 79.3 percent more than in Jan.-Sept. 2011.
The total cost of imported cars hit over $171.7 million or 103.6 percent more than in Jan.-Sept. 2011. In Jan.-Sept. the country imported 852 buses, which is 98.6 percent more than in Jan.-Sept. 2011.
In Jan.-Sept. buses were imported to the amount of $42.94 million, which is 154.21 percent more than in the same period of 2011.
