Kazakh Halyk Bank and its subsidiaries increased net income by 91.8 percent in January-September to 54 billion tenge (150.30 tenge = $1),

Kazakh Halyk Bank and its subsidiaries increased net income by 91.8 percent in January-September to 54 billion tenge (150.30 tenge = $1), the bank said in a consolidated financial statement published on Monday.

The bank's assets remained at the level of December 31, 2011.

Gross loans to customers in the reporting period decreased by 2.3 percent.
The bank's total equity rose by 4.4 percent in the first nine months of 2012. Operating expenses increased by 9.3 percent.

Halyk Bank is the Kazakh commercial savings bank. It is the third largest bank in Kazakhstan by a volume of business activity and a key universal financial institution.
