Afghan businessmen asked to make it easier for them to enter into the countries of Central Asia, director of the Institute of Public Administration and Policy at University of Central Asia Roman Mogilevskii said in Astana on Wednesday.

"Many Afghan businessmen have complained that they find it difficult to get to Central Asia due to visa problems. It is proposed to simplify visa regime for businessmen and hold a large information work," Mogilevskii said, speaking at a regional forum Trade and cooperation between the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan for economic growth.

He noted that measures to facilitate the visa regime will help to improve trade relations between Kazakhstan and Afghanistan, as well as with other countries of Central Asia.

"This will help to transfer medicine and other food products. Baby food, for example. We can either supply the domestic products themselves, or re-export," Mogilevskii added.

According to the expert, there are a number of problems that hinder the development of trade relations with Afghanistan.

"Afghan businessmen engaged in import were polled. A number of problems were revealed. Corruption in customs, bureaucracy, our products aren't advanced enough in the local market, there are no markings on the language of the country. There are opportunities to enter the market of goods Afghanistan, which are sensitive from the health point of view. We may be skeptical of their products, but it has a higher reputation than the one they received from Pakistan," Mogilevskii noted.
