The price of trout fish in Iran has increased to around 200,000 rials (about $16) per kilogram from 140,000 rials in recent years, the Mehr News Agency reported.
Mehr quoted Arsalan Qasemi, the head of the association of Iranian fish farmers, as saying that the rise naturally occurs in this season, but the role of brokers should not underestimated.
Moreover, increased costs of workers, fuel, and banking operations have led to the 40-percent rise, he said.
