Prices of iron beam and armature have decreased by 30 percent in Iran, compared to early June prices, Iranian Jahanesanat newspaper quoted head of the Iran's Iron Sellers Union, Mohammad Azad as saying.

According to the report, each kilogram of Iron beam and armature sold for $0.80 (based on official rate of 24,793 rials per each USD) and $0.77 respectively yesterday in Iron market.

"The prices has decreased by 4 to 5 percent compared to the early current Iranian calendar month (started on July 23)," Azad added.

He went on to note that, decreasing the prices in Iran markets while Iron ingot price in world market is stable, is linked to fall of foreign currency price in Iran during the period.

It should be recalled that, USD dollar was sold at the price of 31,000 rials in Iran's free market yesterday, while the price on early June was 37,000 rials.

According to the statistics of the Iran Customs Administration, Iran has imported some $225 million worth of iron ore during first four months of the current solar year (started on March 21), which share about 1.74 percent of total Iran imports value during the period.
