Tajikistan starts the process of cotton harvesting in several regions of Sogd oblast, Avesta.Tj reported on Monday.
This year cotton harvesting started two weeks later than in recent term, which is connected to weather conditions in the country.
The mass harvesting of cotton throughout the country will start in mid-September.
In 2013 the cotton fields in Sogd oblast of Tajikistan covered an area of over 57 thousand hectares, while in 2012 this area was about 61 thousand hectares.
