The World Bank (WB) proposes to expand the authorities of ASAN Xidmet service of the State Agency for Services to Citizens and Social Innovation under the Azerbaijani President, WB's Fostering entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan report, released on Monday said.

"In recent years, the country's government has launched a number of reforms to support entrepreneurship, and introduced a system of state registration of new enterprises through a 'single window'. Despite great progress in simplifying the registration of new companies, which was achieved through this innovation, the government can also implement additional tools such as the business registry, new forms of online permission applications, and automatic registration, the report said.

According to the report, the implementation of public services through the ASAN service already implies the use of a single window principle.

"In the future, it will be possible to expand the authorities of ASAN Xidmet service and effectively render services for issuing business permits through the service," the report said.

According to the report's authors, the expansion of electronic data exchange between the ministries will increase the efficiency in the issuing permissions and inspections of business entities.
