More than 820 industrial units are in operation in Iran's Mazandaran province which produce chemical and cellulose products, ISNA quoted the region's industry department head Mohammad Mousaviani as saying.
Some 45 per cent of the country's total MDF output is produced in the province, he noted.
Over 20,000 people are working in these sectors, he added.
Around 500 million rials ($20,000 based on the US dollar exchange rate of 24,900 rials) is needed to create a single job at the production units, he said.
