Azerbaijan Railways has repaired 300 kilometres of track during the overhaul of 317 kilometres of the Baku- Boyuk Kesik railway, the company said on Wednesday.
'The reconstruction of the 300 kilometre stretch of rail ended at the Alikand-Laki section on November 13', a statement said.
The overhaul of 317 km of the Baku- Boyuk Kesik railway has been carried out through a loan worth 215 million euros allocated by the Czech Exim Bank. The overhaul started on a 97 kilometre section of the Aghstafa - Tatli railway in June 10, 2011.
The specialised railway facilities No 4 and No 11 of the Demiryolservis Company which is part of Azerbaijan Railways and the relevant bodies of the Infrastructure Department were involved in the reconstruction.
