Eight foreign countries to attend Iran’s home appliance expo

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Companies from eight foreign countries will attend the 13th international home appliance exhibition of Iran, which will open in Tehran on Wednesday, IRIB reported on Jan.7.

Over 230 Iranian and foreign companies will take part in the exhibition, which will run till Jan.11.

The number of participants has increased by 30 percent compared to the past year.

Companies from Italy, Germany, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, Switzerland, and France will be represented at the exhibition.

Iran's exports of home appliance witnessed a 15 percent growth in the past Iranian calendar year (ending on March 20, 2013) compared with the year before.

Iran exported home appliance worth $228 million, showing a 15 percent increase in terms of value and a 9 percent increase in terms of weight year on year.

Iraq, Italy, Afghanistan, the UAE, and Kazakhstan were the main target countries for Iran's home appliances.
