Azeryolservis JSC, part of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry, has announced a tender for construction of two sections of the Alat-Astara highway, according to a message from the tender commission.
The tender includes construction of the highway's two sections running to lengths of 23.41 kilometres and 24.8 kilometres respectively, according to the report.
The work is to be funded with loans the Azerbaijani government received from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and International Development Association (IDA).
Participation in the tender costs $500, or equivalent in another currency.
The bids backed by a guarantee of $1.3 million and $0.75 million, or the equivalent sum for each section of the highway respectively, will be accepted by the tender commission up till February 20, 2014, 17:00 (local time).
Opening of the bids will take place on February 20, at 17:00 (local time).
