Turkey’s export increases by over 7%

The export of goods from Turkey increased by 7.3 percent and stood at $12.993 billion in October 2014, compared to the same month of 2013, said a message posted on the website of Turkish Statistical Institute.

Turkey's import operations dropped by 1.5 percent and stood at $19.185 billion in October, compared to the same month of 2013, according to the message.

This is while Turkey's export to EU countries amounted to $5.711 billion in September, which is 8.1 percent more than in the same month of 2013.

Turkey exported goods worth of $1.283 billion to Germany, $860 million - to UK, $857 million - to Iraq and $566 million - to Italy, according to Turkish Statistical Institute.

Turkey imported goods worth of $2.79 billion from China, $1.732 billion - from Russia, $1.798 billion - from Germany and $997 million - from Italy in September.
