Kazakhstan's oil affects local restaurants' revenues

The restaurant business started earning less in the oil regions of Kazakhstan, Ranking.kz. analytical service reported.

"The average receipt per urban citizen in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan has reduced by 8.9 percent, while in the Mangistau - by 9.6 percent since early 2015," the statement said. "In general, the average receipts per urban citizen throughout Kazakhstan increased by 10.9 percent."

The official average cash register receipts in the field of catering services decreased by 3.6 percent up to 7,100 tenge (185.8 tenge = $ 1) in Atyrau region, while in Mangistau - by 0.6 percent up to 4,800 tenge in February 2015.

On average, the receipts throughout Kazakhstan increased by 8.2 percent - up to 2,200 tenge per urban citizen in February.

The official revenues of the catering companies in the Atyrau province dropped by 74 million Kazakh tenge and stood at 2 billion tenge in a month in March 2015. This is while the revenues of these companies in the Mangistau province decreased by 9.3 million tenge and totaled 1.4 billion tenge.

In total, Kazakh residents spent 21 billion tenge on catering in March 2015, which is 16 percent more than in March 2014.

The official growth of revenues from the catering services in Kazakhstan stood at 1.6 billion tenge in February. This figure increased by 2.9 billion tenge in a year. The revenues of the catering enterprises increased in 13 regions of Kazakhstan in a month.
