Secretaries of SCO Security Councils to discuss fight against terrorism, drug trafficking in Tashkent

The meeting of secretaries of Security Councils of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held April 13-14 in Tashkent within the framework of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the organization, the press service of the Uzbek foreign ministry reported.
During the meeting, participants will discuss the fight against transnational threats, including terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and cross-border crime.
During the annual meeting it is planned to discuss the situation in Central Asia and the SCO space as a whole, the situation in Afghanistan, as well as issues of international and regional security.
The SCO members are China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan
Afghanistan, Iran, Mongolia and Belarus are the SCO observer-countries, while Turkey, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia and Nepal are dialogue partners.
