Azerbaijan’s Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC will start exporting plastic windows and doors to Georgia and Russia, corporation’s production manager Murad Hajimammadov told Trend.

According to him, this will be possible thanks to the commissioning of a plant for production of plastic windows and doors of Accopen company, which is a part of Akkord OJSC.

Speaking about the plant, Hajimammadov noted that Accopen’s plant will be commissioned in two stages.

“At the first stage, we will produce plastic profiles and at the second stage, we will produce finished windows and doors,” said the production manager.

Mainly, the products will be sold on the domestic market, but in the future, it will be exported as well, he said.

“In the future, the implementation of the SOCAR Polymer project will provide us with more than 70 percent of the raw materials used in the production of profiles, which will reduce the cost of our products and lead to the expansion of our exports,” he noted. “I think that the target markets for our exports will be Georgia and regions of Russia that are neighboring with Azerbaijan.”

The construction of the Accopen plant started in November 2015. Production capacity of the plant is 2,500 tons of PVC profiles per year.
