Kazakhstan records rise in car output

Over 15,000 vehicles were produced in Kazakhstan in 10 months of this year, reads a report issued by the Union of Enterprises of the Automobile Industry of Kazakhstan "KazAvtoProm".

"During10 months of the current year, 15 014 units of vehicles (including passenger cars, trucks, buses, special vehicles and trailers) were produced. The volume totaled 115.1 billion tenge," KazAvtoProm notes.

The production of passenger cars increased by 3.3 times, reaching 12 986 units. Of these, 72.4 percent fall on share of JSC "AZIA AVTO" and 27.6 percent- LLP "SaryarkaAvtoProm".

Some 545 busses were produced in the country. This indicator exceeded the indicator of a year ago by 3.3 times.

The production of specialized vehicles amounted to 182 units, which is 1.7 times more than in the same period last year. The output of trucks was 1,117 units and practically reached the figures of the previous year (1,133 units), reducing the gap to 1.4 percent.

The official exchange rate for November 22 is 330.29 KZT / USD.
