The official exchange rate of Uzbekistan's sum against USD depreciated by 8,62 sums to 8101,62 sums, according to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, which released the rates for Dec.19.
The official exchange rate of the sum against euro increased by 3.62 sum and hit 9528.32 sums.
The ruble slightly regained value increasing by 1.07 sums up to 137.93 sums.
The British pound got up to 38,68 sums and will cost 10,803.51 sums.
After the devaluation of the national currency on Sept.5, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan sets official rates of foreign currencies to the sum once a week for accounting, statistical and other reporting on currency transactions, and also for the calculation of customs and other mandatory payments. Then the official exchange rate was set at the level of 8100 sums compared to 4210.35 sums a day before.
Thanks to the introduction of currency liberalization in Uzbekistan, since Sept. 5 2017, citizens of the country sell currency in banks at a real market rate.
The purchase of currency is carried out through its crediting to international payment cards for use in foreign countries.
