Uzbek bank allocates loan for construction of poultry complex

Uzbekistan’s Industrial and Construction Bank JSCB (Uzpromstroybank) has allocated a loan worth 35 billion soums for the construction of the poultry complex “Kizirik Parranda” in the Surxondaryo region of Uzbekistan, the bank’s management told Trend.

The capacity of the facility will amount to 100,000 domesticated birds, 180 million eggs and 300 tons of poultry meat per year, 80 percent of which will be supplied to the domestic market. The annual export volume will be about $10 million. The construction of the poultry complex is planned to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2018.

The total cost of the construction project is 65 billion soums, 30 billion of which will be drawn at the expense of own funds of Kizirik Parranda LLC. High-tech equipment from Russia, Ukraine and Turkey will be installed in the complex, as well as a logistics center for export of products will be built. The payback period of the project will be 5 years.

In 2017, the number of domesticated birds in Uzbekistan grew 6.4 percent and amounted to 4.3 million, almost 62 percent of which accounted for personal farms. The number of chicken eggs produced in Uzbekistan in 2017 grew 7.4 percent and exceeded 6.6 billion.
