The legislation should be brought in line with the current situation in the context of using legal mechanisms to preserve the stability of the national currency - manat, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper cited President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as saying.
President Berdimuhamedov made the remarks at the meeting with MPs in Ashgabat.
"By expanding the types of banking services, we must improve the reliability of bank guarantees, as well as the payment system on the basis of the world practice, implement scientific and technical innovations there," the president added.
Special attention in the calculations carried out in all sectors of the economy should be paid to a decrease in the amount of currency taken out of the country and an increase of the amount of currency brought into the country, President Berdimuhamedov said.
It is necessary to take the necessary steps to improve the legislative acts related to the careful use of state funds, fiscal, monetary and investment issues.
Turkmenistan has embarked on a policy of gradual transition to market economy.
Since January 1, 2015, the official exchange rate in Turkmenistan remains at 3.50 Turkmen manats to the US dollar.
