Kazakhstan increases meat production

The volume of meat production in Kazakhstan amounted to 86,380 tons in January-April 2018, which is 11.9 percent more than in the same period of 2017, the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said in a message.

In the reporting period the country also produced 177,202 tons of milk (15.6 percent increase year over year), 1.5 million tons of flour (24.1 percent increase year over year), 253 tons of bread (6.9 percent increase year over year) and 28,126 tons of cereals (28.5 percent increase year over year).

The value of gross output of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in Kazakhstan amounted to 559 million tenge in January-April 2018, which is 3.8 percent more than in the same period of 2017.

The output of livestock products, in the reporting period, amounted to 529.7 million tenge (an increase of 4 percent year over year), crop production - 21.637 million tenge, services in the field of agriculture - 135.2 million tenge.

The volume of products/services in the hunting economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 289.4 million tenge, in the forestry sector - 4.5 million tenge and in fishing - 2.6 million tenge.
