Iran-China trade exchange grows in first half of 2018

The volume of trade exchange between Iran and China grew by 10.1 percent during the first half of 2018.

According to figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, the volume of trade turnover between Iran and China rose by 10.1 in the six months to June 30, Mehr news agency reported on August 11.

Goods worth $37.1 billion were traded between the two countries in 2017, showing a 17 percent growth to the same corresponding period last year.

Iran traded 10,231 tons of non-oil commodities worth $6.93 billion with China during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21), registering an 11.61 percent decrease in tonnage and 9.57 percent increase in value compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration’s statistics indicate.
