In January-July 2018, a total of 588,346 vessels passed through the territorial waters of Turkey, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Sept. 12.
The ministry noted that 402,607 Georgian vessels flying the Turkish flag and 185,739 vessels flying the flags of other countries sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey during this year.
Last year, 880,540 Georgian ships sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey, of which 614,832 vessels flied the Turkish flag, 265,708 sailed under the flags of other countries.
In the first seven months of 2018, a total of 51,697,256 vessels from different countries sailed in the territorial waters of Turkey, 7,802,316 of which sailed under the Turkish flag, 2,395,205 vessels - under their own flags, and 41,499,735 vessels - under the flags of other countries.
