Number of Chinese companies registered in Turkey increases

Some 35 companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey in August 2018, which is one company more compared to the same period in 2017, Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend Sept. 25.

The total capital of Chinese companies registered in August this year was 10 million liras, while the figure was 5.3 million liras in August last year.

In August, the number of registered companies in Turkey decreased by 19.92 percent, while the number of registered cooperatives increased by 25.68 percent.

The number of companies and cooperatives registered in Turkey amounted to 5,443 and 93 respectively, in August 2018.

Istanbul accounted for 86.42 percent of registered companies and cooperatives.

In January-August 2018, the number of companies registered in Turkey increased by 21.65 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

The number of registered cooperatives in Turkey for the first eight months of 2018 increased by 18.41 percent compared to the same period of 2017.

According to TOBB, the number of closed companies in the first eight months of 2018 declined by 12.32 percent, while the number of closed cooperatives fell by 12.34 percent.
