Cargo transshipment through Turkish ports exceeds 300 mln tons

In January-November 2018, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 300,294,139 tons, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend Dec. 20.

During the period, the volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the Turkish flag amounted to 33,129,599 tons, according to the ministry.

"In January-November 2018, the volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the flags of their own countries amounted to 12,151,660 tons and by vessels flying the flags of other countries amounted to 255,012,880 tons," the ministry said.

In November 2018, the volume of cargo transshipment through the Turkish ports amounted to 24,979,019 tons.

"In November 2018, the transshipment volume of vessels flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2,703,848 tons," the ministry said.

The ministry also noted that in November 2018, the volume of cargo transshipment by vessels flying the flags of their own countries amounted to 704,477 tons and by vessels flying the flags of other countries to 21,570,694 tons.
