Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Abdolnaser Hemmati has indicated the necessity of promoting and preserving the country's limited ties with foreign banks.
The official has posted a comment on his Instagram account over the issue: "The Expediency Council is to decide over Iran's accession to the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crimes (Palermo Protocols) on Saturday," Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is a part of international banking standards," he said.
