Kazakhstan allocates most loans to industry sector

The volume of loans to the Kazakh economy at the end of February 2019 amounted to 12.5 trillion tenge which is 0.5 percent less than a year earlier, Trend reports with reference to energyprom.kz.

The largest share accounts for the industry sector - 15.6 percent (a year earlier - 15.3 percent).

The second place belongs to wholesale and retail trade, as well as auto and motorcycle repair - 13.8 percent (a year earlier - 15, 6 percent).

The share of loans in the construction industry decreased from 7.3 percent to 5.9 percent.

The volume of industrial loans at the end of February 2019 amounted to 1.9 trillion tenge - 1.4 percent more than last year. The volume is increasing for the second year in a row: by the end of February 2018, the annual growth was 8.7 percent.

More than 70 percent of loans in industry accounted for the manufacturing industry: 1.4 trillion tenge, 5.3 percent more than last year.

Loans of the mining industry decreased to 335.1 billion tenge or by 0.3 percent over the year.

Other industries accounted for 240.1 billion tenge which is 14.5 percent less than at the end of February 2018.

More than half of the credits of the processing industry accounted for metallurgy (354.1 billion tenge, + 12 percent per year) and food production (351 billion tenge, + 14.8 percent per year).

A significant proportion also accounts for the production of other non-metallic mineral products (188.3 billion tenge, −0.2 percent per year) and engineering (165.6 billion tenge, −13.2 percent per year).
