In January-March 2019, Azerbaijan exported goods worth $4.5 billion, which is 25.2 percent more than in January-March 2018, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee.
The share of the public sector in exports amounted to $3 billion, the private sector to $1.5 billion, and individuals to $13.8 million.
During the period, Azerbaijan exported mostly oil and oil products, natural gas, fruits, vegetables and plastics.

During this period, imports amounted to $3.1 billion, which is 30.1 percent more than in January-March 2018.
The share of the public sector in imports amounted to $1.2 billion, the private sector to $1.8 million and individuals to $179.5 million.
The most popular products imported by Azerbaijan during the period included various machines, vehicles and spare parts for them, ferrous metals and products made from them, wheat, plastic and plastic products.

In general, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade operations increased by almost 27.2 percent amounting to $7.6 billion in January-March 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.
The positive balance in the period amounted to more than $1.3 billion, which is 13.7 percent more than in the same period last year ($1.2 billion).
During this period, Azerbaijan exported 1,662 types of goods and imported 6,182 types of goods.
There were 155 countries among Azerbaijan's foreign trade partners.
