Metal processing mini-plant in Tajikistan, which will be built with funds provided by investor from Uzbekistan, is planned to be launched this year, Trend reports via Tajik media.
Uzbek investor plans to allocate more than $ 1.8 million for the construction.
"At the end of last year, the project of Okhankor LLC (Uzbekistan) for setting up the production of metal ingots in the territory of Sughd Free Economic Zone (Tajikistan) was approved. The company plans to invest more than $1.8 million in the construction of the facility, which is scheduled to start this year," the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan reported.
The processing plant will be equipped with modern eco-friendly equipment. Metal products produced at the plant will be exported to Uzbekistan for further processing.
In addition to metal ingots, the range will be supplemented with fittings, metal profiles, squares and blocks.
