Uzbekistan, Belarus sign contracts worth almost $300 M

Following the Forum of Regions and the National Industrial Exhibition of Uzbekistan in Minsk (Belarus) on July 29-30, export-import contracts and agreements on cooperation of leading enterprises of the two countries in the amount of about $300 million were concluded, Trend reports with reference to the presidential press service of Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko discussed this topic during a telephone conversation.
The President of Uzbekistan invited Lukashenko to visit the country on an official visit at a time convenient for him.
The presidents noted that the Uzbek-Belarusian summit brought bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
During the telephone conversation, the agreements reached and the documents adopted were also discussed. The parties paid special attention to cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and innovation spheres.
During the Forum, the two countries signed contracts in agriculture, medicine, IT and other spheres.
Earlier Trend reported that President of Uzbekistan visited Belarus on an official visit from July 31 to August 1, 2019.
