Turkmenistan’s Nurly Meydan company has signed an agreement with Germany’s Herbacon on the creation of a joint venture for feed manufacturing in Bereket District of Turkmenistan’s Balkan Region, Trend reports referring to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

Herbacon previously delivered horse feed to Turkmenistan and other Central Asian countries from Europe, which significantly increased the price of the product. The joint venture will reduce its cost by 30-40 percent, the information reads.

It is planned to launch the production of feed for poultry, calves and horses within the first decade of September. The design capacity of the plant is 75,000 tons of granulated feed per year, which will also allow for exporting products to neighboring countries.

Earlier,it was reported that Nurly Meydan implemented the country's first project for incubation of poultry, with the project having yielded the first 100,000 hatching chickens. Some 400 hectares of land were allocated for the feed base in Bereket District. Orders were placed by Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and China.
