Baku-based Karmen macaroni factory has established export of pasta to neighboring Georgia, Ilgar Ahmadov, director of the company's marketing department, told Trend.
He said that the factory exported 93 tons of pasta on Sept. 5.
“This is the third shipment of the factory’s products in five months of this year,” he noted. “Previous deliveries were in the volume of 40 and 30 tons. The demand in this market for our products is growing, so we plan to increase export volumes to Georgia.”
He added that negotiations are being held with potential partners in Central Asia.
“We plan to establish exports to Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, and we are studying the markets of these countries, including demand and consumption,” he said.
The company products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
The German, Turkish and Swedish equipment is used at the factory.
