Food products prices up by over 6% in Kazakhstan

The pricing of food items in Kazakhstan increased by 6.2 percent, non-food items - by 3.3 percent and paid services - by 0.3 percent during first nine months of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The increase of the pricing since the beginning of the year is observed on millet by 52.4 percent, rice by 22.6 percent, potatoes by 19.6 percent, flour by 16.5 percent, bread, noodles by 8.9 percent, coffee by 8.2 percent, hard curd cheese by 7.3 percent, bakeries and flour products by 6.3 percent, tea by 5.7 percent.

Tobacco products increased in price by 10.5 percent, soft drinks by 10.4 percent, alcoholic beverages by 6.4 percent.

The prices of mutton increase by 14.7 percent, frozen fish by 13.9 percent, beef by 13.1 percent, horse meat by 12.1 percent, poultry meat by 10 percent, pork by 9.4 percent, meat products by 7.7 percent, sausages by 5.5 percent.

The decrease of pricing is observed on fresh vegetables by 12.6 percent, on granulated sugar by 8.7 percent, on raw milk by 3.6 percent, on eggs by 1.6 percent, on cottage cheese by 1 percent.

The construction materials grew in price by 5.3 percent, household equipment, textile products by 4.7 percent, clothing and footwear by 4.6 percent, furniture and household items by 4.5 percent, washing and cleaning materials by 4.2 percent.

Petrol decreased in price by 4.6 percent, coal by 1.3 percent, diesel fuel, liquefied gas in cylinders by 0.9 percent.
