China recognizes potential of Georgian exports to Chinese market

Deputy Executive Director of the Partnership Fund of Georgia Georgi Khelaya met with representatives of the Trade Facilitation Council of the People's Republic of China in Guangzhou, Trend reports citing the Georgian Partnership Fund.

The meeting took place as part of the visit of the Georgian delegation to China for the participation in the 2nd Chinese exhibition China International Import Expo 2019.

At a meeting, the parties discussed steps aimed at developing trade and economic relations between Georgia and China.

The Chinese side emphasized the potential of Georgian products in the Chinese market and invited the Georgian delegation to participate in the two largest exhibitions in Guangzhou.

One of them, the Guangzhou International Food Exhibition, which will be held in May 2020, is one of the largest venues for the sale of imported food products.

Also next year, a large-scale international 21st Century Maritime Silk Road is planned, in which about 20 Georgian companies were invited to take part.

The Chinese side expressed its readiness to offer Georgian businessmen the best conditions and partially cover the costs of their participation in the events mediated by the Partnership Fund and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia.
