The priority for Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) is to develop mining exploration with help of domestic resources, in particular knowledge-based companies, said the CEO of IMIDRO, Khodadad Gharibpour, Trend reports via ILNA.
"The organization has 10 priorities to localize mining-related programs, reach self-sufficiency in planning, work on increasing profits, reducing imports and boosting employment,"Gharibpour said.
"Utilizing domestic capacities in construction of machinery, equipment and basic materials are necessary," he added.
"Supporting knowledge based companies and using technology will create jobs and the target is to share the experience of the local mining companies," he said.
Gharibpour also said that launching a startup mining center, holding local exhibitions across the country are among IMIDRO's plans.
He also said that a pilot plan has been developed for exploring rare Earth elements, adding that the plan is based on national interests.
