The volume of food production in Azerbaijan amounted to 960.5 million manat ($565 million) from January through March 2020, which is 5.3 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing a report of the State Statistical Committee on Apr. 18.
In 1Q2020, the production of beverages increased 2.1 times up to 82.7 million manat ($48.6 million), and tobacco production - by 28 percent up to 67.5 million manat ($39.7 million).
Over the month, food production increased by 49 percent, beverage production - 1.9 times, and tobacco production - by 64.2 percent. Since the beginning of 2020, the volume of food production has almost tripled, the production of drinks increased 4.5 times, tobacco production - 12.5 percent.
