China's exports of non-alloy steel flat-rolled products  to Georgia down

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22

Georgia imported 16,315 tons of flat-rolled products of non-alloy clad or coated steel from China for amount of $11.4 million from January through June 2020, which is 7,649 tons less compared to the period from January through June 2019, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia imported 110 tons of automatic data processing machines and units thereof worth $6.7 million from China. During January through June 2019, Georgia imported 121 tons of of automatic data processing machines and units thereof worth $7.1 million from China.

Meanwhile, 3,013 tons of new pneumatic rubber tires worth $7.1 million were imported by Georgia from China, which is 1,435 tons less compared to January through June 2019.

In January through une 2020, Georgia imported 1,193 tons of air conditioning machines worth $6.9 million from China.

Meanwhile, 238.4 tons of other goods, including dress patterns worth $6.3 million were imported by Georgia from China. This is $5.1 million more compared to January through June 2019.

From January through June 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Georgia and China amounted to more than $530.7 million, which is 10.5 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $205.1 million to the Chinese market, which is 13.6 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China exported products worth $325.6 million to the Georgian market, which comprises 9.2 percent of total import to Georgia.
