BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Hazelnut processing company Georgian Products Renaissance expands the number of countries in which its products are exported, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

The products will be sold in Austria, Czech Republic and several other countries.

The founder of the company Baia Salukvadze said that compared to last year, they will receive more harvest this year. The founder noted good quality of hazelnut and added that the harvest came in large quantities; therefore, the price of 1 kg will be approximately 4-4.5 lari ($1.30-$1.47).

"We received 1,200 tons of shelled hazelnuts," said Salukvadze.

"We are constantly checking the quality of nuts. We will start receiving products from farmers next week," he added.

The factory was founded in 2013. Georgian Products Renaissance buys hazelnut from Georgian peasants and farmers and sells them in different countries, such as Germany, Italy, France, Poland, countries of South America, China, and Middle Asia.
