Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan increased the total volume of trade turnover by 20.1 percent from January through July 2020, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
The statistical data were provided during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via videoconference.
The volume of products manufactured by enterprises of Turkmen Ministry of Textile industry increased by 2.2 percent in the reporting period.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 155 trading sessions and concluded 15,124 contracts during seven months, said the report.
During the reporting period, Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry increased the volume of services rendered in monetary terms by 6.9 percent, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs increased industrial production by 9.6 percent, while agricultural and food production increased by 36.3 percent.
The Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs of the country was instructed to develop and submit for consideration a program for the construction and formation of small, medium and large enterprises for the production of import-substituting products.
